  • Medication: Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) are commonly prescribed to increase serotonin levels in the brain. SSRIs have been found to reduce symptoms of depression by about 40-60%
  • Lifestyle modifications: Encouraging regular exercise, a balanced diet rich in tryptophan (an amino acid precursor to serotonin), adequate sleep, and stress-reduction techniques can support serotonin production and alleviate symptoms. By addressing serotonin imbalances through therapeutic interventions, medication, and lifestyle modifications, we can help our clients achieve greater emotional well-being and overall quality of life.
