Clark Ausloos, PhD
Dr. Clark D. Ausloos is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, a Licensed School Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor. Dr. Ausloos has worked in K-12 settings, as well as private practice, and in college counseling. Dr. Ausloos currently serves as a core faculty member in the SchoolCounseling@Denver program at the University of Denver. Dr. Ausloos centers his clinical, school, and scholarly work on supporting and advocating for marginalized, non-dominant populations, specifically queer and trans youth, and their families. Dr. Ausloos has authored over 20 peer-reviewed published manuscripts, book chapters and encyclopedia terms, in addition to presenting over 60 conference presentations. Dr. Ausloos received the Ohio Counselor of the Year Award (2020), the OASERVIC Professional Integrity and Leadership Award (2020), the CSI Outstanding Research Award (Alpha Omega Chapter, 2022), and the SAIGE Ned Farley Service Award (2023). Dr. Ausloos is a content expert, item writer, and member of the Sensitivity and Bias Review Committee for the National Counselor Examination, as well as as Chairperson for the NBCC Minority Fellowship Program Advisory Council. Dr. Ausloos serves on numerous professional counseling organizations and counseling divisions, including ACA, AARC, SAIGE, ACAC, and ACSSW.
