Arien Muzacz (she/her/hers) is a professional counselor in the humanistic/existential tradition who has worked with clients from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural groups, with a range of ages and abilities, who inhabit a variety of affectional, sexual, gender, and class identities. She is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Counseling in the College of Education at Oregon State University. As an educator, Dr. Muzacz advocates for increased financial and social access and equity of opportunity for non-traditional graduate students. Her research interests include human sexuality, inequities in healthcare and education, and social justice and professional advocacy. She values what she learned as a younger adult involved with mainstream and queer kink/BDSM communities in New York City and from the D/s dynamics in past relationships, and is enjoying engaging in kink research in her current life stage.
