Zo Amaro Jimenez, PsyD

Zo Amaro Jimenez, PsyD (they/them) is a licensed clinical psychologist and Mental Health and Medical consultant at Gender Spectrum who leads Gender Spectrum’s initiatives for mental health professionals. They have worked for over a decade as a consultant and trainer in a variety of settings, mainly universities and nonprofit community mental health agencies. While much of their trainings revolve around best practices in workplace and mental health care, they approach those topics from a framework that decenters the gender binary and emphasizes the autonomy and inherent dignity of all people who struggle within the gender binary. Outside of Gender Spectrum, they work as a clinical psychologist at Lyon-Martin Community Health Services in San Francisco, providing psychotherapy and gender care to trans adults. They also have a small private practice, providing therapy to queer and trans adults.
