Kim Westheimer, MA

Kim Westheimer (any pronoun) is the Director of Research, Policy and Practice for Gender Spectrum. Prior to being at Gender Spectrum, Kim directed the launching of Welcoming Schools at the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Kim is the coauthor, with Jeff Perrotti, of “When the Drama Club is Not Enough”, a book which details the beginnings of the Safe Schools Program for LGBTQ students at the Massachusetts Department of Education, a program which they directed. Kim has also worked with unhoused youth, been adjunct faculty at universities in the Boston area and written numerous articles for academic and professional publications. Kim enjoys encouraging people to delve into all kinds of complexities and spectra related to gender and beyond.
