2 Hours | 2 CEs

This on-demand professional training program on Navigating Ethically Questionable Conduct by Forensic Colleagues is presented by Heath Hodges, PhD, M.L.S., ABPP in partnership with Ohio Forensic Centers Consortium (OFCC)

This program addresses an area of ethics in forensic practice that is highly relevant, but rarely discussed. It focuses on the unique challenges of identifying, evaluating, and resolving ethically questionable conduct by fellow forensic practitioners. It addresses the prevalence and inherent difficulties of responding to colleague conduct on a continuum of ethically questionable to unethical.

Recommendations and limitations of current professional guidelines and codes of conduct for addressing such situations are reviewed in this training. This program also discusses a framework for deciding how to respond to unclear dilemmas that considers the nature of the misconduct, relational factors, diversity issues, competing biases, political obstacles, collateral costs, and mental health consequences. It outlines possible responses and strategies for implementing resolutions.
