About Jess:

Jessica Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor in private practice in Denver. She is a trauma-informed therapist trained in EMDR and yoga therapy. Jessica believes self-care is an act of self-love and she is passionate about spreading this message to her fellow healers and clients. Jessica presents at national conferences on topics such as self-care, trauma-informed care, and yoga in recovery. Jessica ‘s article, “A counselor’s journey back from burnout” was published in the April 2017 issue of Counseling Today, and her article, “Moving through Trauma,” on using yoga, meditation, and breathwork was one of the most popular Counseling Today articles of 2018. This is the second time she has been interviewed on The Thoughtful Counselor podcast.
