Caitlin Edwards (they/them) is a postdoctoral fellow at Colorado State University researching clinical interventions for adolescent mental and cardiometabolic health. They identify as a White agender, pansexual femme presenting person with invisible disabilities from middle-class background. They received their PhD in Human Development and Family Studies in 2024 with dual emphases on Couple and Family Therapy and Women and Gender Studies from Michigan State University. They are a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and licensed Professional Counselor as well as certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy. Their previous research has focused on the cultural adaptation of Emotionally Focused Therapy for LGBTQ+ romantic relationships and the integration of marginalized voices into intervention research. They currently own their own practice, in which they specialize in working with LGBTQ + and consensually non-monogamous relationships.
